The Canyon showing is located northwest flowing tributary valley of Shazah Creek, north of Mount Eaton and approximately 89 kilometres south-southeast of Atlin, B.C.

A Tertiary medium to coarse-grained, pink biotite-hornblende quartz monzonite stock of the Sloko-Hyder Plutonic Suite intrudes clastic sedimentary rocks of the Paleozoic Stikine Assemblage and marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group.

These rocks have undergone regional greenschist facies metamorphism and are comprised mainly of greenstone and phyllites with schist, chert, slate, and minor limestone. The alteration halo indicates some pyritization and contains quartz veins with reported gold values.

During 1931 G. Gilbert, of Tulsequah, prospected the area and located the Canyon and Bear groups of claims. The exact area of the showings are not properly established and the host is not reported. In 1931, a sample from a 0.9 metre wide quartz vein assayed 15.09 grams per tonne gold (Minister of Mines Annual Report, 1931).

In 1987, 127.5 kilometres of airborne magnetic and VLF-EM surveys were carried out over the Mount Eaton property owned by Megastar Ventures and Kristy Resources. The VLF EM survey has revealed several conductors labelled a to f some of which are closely associated with magnetic lows and thus indicate geological structure such as faults or shear zones that may host sulphides. The geophysical surveys revealed lineations that may be reflecting geological structure Assessment Report 17513).
